Parking Restrictions / Road Closures due to the Halloween Celebration Sunday, October 24    

 Halloween Window Painting (scheduled for Sunday October 24, 2010 from 10 AM-2PM) and The Halloween Parade (scheduled for Sunday October 24, 2010 from 1PM-3PM).

The following parking restrictions / road closures will be in place. On Sunday October 24, 2010 from 12PM to 3PM there will be no parking allowed on Warburton Avenue (both sides) from Main St to the Post Office Parking Lot.
This restriction will also include Spring Street and the Chase Bank Parking Lot.

The Halloween Window Painting will take place from 10 AM to 12PM. From 1PM to 3PM the Halloween Parade will occur and during this time the following road closures will be in place. From 12:30 PM to 3 PM Warburton Avenue will be closed to all traffic. From 12:45 PM until the Halloween Parade clears, (approximately 1:15PM)   Main St will be closed from the entrance to the A&P to Warburton Avenue.    

From 3PM to 5PM residents will be allowed to continue the Halloween Window Painting but all roadways will be open to traffic.





Sunday, October 24                      10am – 12pm and 3pm – 5pm
Downtown Window Painting (Pre-registration is required)
                The fee for a single entry is $5.00
                The fee for a team entry is $7.00
                The fee for a family is $10.00 (4 members of immediate family)                  
                Paints may be picked up between 9:00 – 10:00am and 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Sunday, October 24                                      1pm –3pm
Spooky Sunday Sidewalk Sale
Many outdoor tables and displays with special sale items from your local merchants. Stores will be open too!            
Halloween Parade
Wear your Costume! Starts at 1pm in front of the James Harmon Community Center and ends at the VFW. All are encouraged to dress up.
                  Live Music at VFW
Trick or Treating
With our local merchants, those participating in the event will have an orange and black balloon tied to the front of the store. Trick or treating will take place immediately following the parade. Official Halloween Trick or Treat Bags will be given out prior to parade.
Hay Ride
                  A terrific hay wagon pulled by a team of white horses. Provided by the Bronx Equestrian Center.  
                 Pumpkin Painting
Pumpkins will cost $4.00 each. We will provide the paint and paint brushes.



The Hastings PBA and the Hastings-on-Hudson Parks & Recreation Department invite the senior citizens of Hastings-on-Hudson to an afternoon of bingo:

Andrus-on-Hudson (185 Old Broadway)
12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Andrus is sponsoring a buffet lunch starting at 12:30 p.m., with bingo beginning at 1:30 p.m.
