On Saturday, June 12th (rain date June 13th), the Skylar Sonn Tancredi Foundation will sponsor the Reach for the Sky Tournament at the newly refurbished Reynolds Field basketball courts. Games will begin at 8:30am and we will take a break at noon to dedicate the courts.
The Tournament is open to the entire community. We are hoping that people will put together basketball teams of between seven and ten players. We will then work out a game schedule, depending on the number of teams who sign up. Please note that for players who are younger than high school age, teams can be composed of either 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, or 7th & 8th graders. These teams will play against their own cohort.
There is no fee to play and teams will be randomly chosen to play against each other in a single elimination format. The tournament will be organized by Steve Tuber, of Rec Basketball. Please contact him at steve.tuber@gmail.com to sign up.
You MUST register your team no later than Monday, June 7th by 8pm. Registration means that your complete roster of players must be included in your email.
NO TEAMS WILL BE PERMITTED TO PLAY IF THEY HAVE NOT REGISTERED BY THE DEADLINE.
The schedule of games will be sent back by Wednesday, June, 9th.
While the games will be played throughout the day, we will schedule an afternoon break for the USA World Cup Soccer game from 2pm to 4pm!
